Dr. John Cory is a fellowship trained foot and ankle specialist who is board certified. After completing his medical degree at Wake Forest University Bowman Gray Medical School, he went on to complete residency in orthopedics at the University of South Carolina.
Following residency, Dr. Cory completed the prestigious foot and ankle fellowship at American Sports Medical Institute in Birmingham Alabama in 2004, further sub specializing in sports injuries of the foot and ankle.
Dr. Cory was recently invited to be co-director of the foot and ankle fellowship with Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, however, Dr. Cory returned to Scottsdale in order to partner with Arizona Orthopedic at the Foot and Ankle Center to provide the most comprehensive care for foot and ankle problems in the entire Phoenix metro area.

Dr. John Cory treats foot and ankle problems in all age groups from infants to geriatrics, and his practice includes congenital defects, trauma, degenerative and arthritic conditions. Dr Cory’s practice is further highly specialized in the treatment of sports foot and ankle injuries.

In addition, Dr Cory serves as the Foot and ankle consultant for: US Soccer Federation, The California Angels, The Oakland Athletics, USA Gymnastics, Arizona Youth Soccer Leagues, and the multiple PGA tours.
Dr Cory has also acted as consultant for international athletes in dance, baseball, basketball, and soccer, including top level european clubs. Dr Cory has extensive background in foot and ankle trauma, as well as sports and activity related injuries, to include overuse injuries.
